The design for the new Journalism / Technology Building provides a significant architectural and state of the art academic landmark facility that includes within one structure the Information Technology / Distance Learning and Journalism Departments. The Journalism / Technology Building is organized around two key features: an open exterior Courtyard and a three-story central Atrium with a major skylight. The design provides a strong architectural statement of building purpose appropriate for such an important academic complex. The project also included the construction of a clock tower and public outdoor space to define campus identity.
